Rocksdrift House & Seaview Apartments

The apartments are approached from the car park at the year of Londis shop and Post Office. Luggage can be unloaded outside Apartments 1 and 2. Vehicles whose drivers have mobility problems can be parked directly outside Apartments 1 and 2.

We offer the facility to borrow a wheelchair and other aids and equipment. Please let us know your requirements on booking. All apartments have non feather pillows and duvets with cotton covers and sheets. All beds have reading lights and a pull cord on/off switch over the bed.

Remote control TV’s with digital TV and DVD players with remote controls. Mobile phone reception is available from the major providers. Dogs are welcome.

From main entrance a tarmac drive – pedestrian use only (gentle slope approx 1 in) leads to seafront road 25 metres away. Opposite this pedestrian only access on the other side of the road is a concrete ramp leading onto the beach. Village shop and post office 50 metres along the road. Public Transport (bus stop) 60 m along the pavement.

Step 85mm high door 840mm wide. Commercial sized washing machine and tumble drier.

Apartment 1

A very gentle paved pathway leads to the front door and also to front of the apartment where there is a small patio area which enjoys superb views over the bay. Level lawned area with stone boundary wall.

Front door 840mm wide into tiled hallway through wide (840 mm) wooden door. 890 mm wide wooden door into spacious lounge with ample natural lighting standard three piece suite and additional high back chairs.

Double glass doors leading to dining area and kitchen. Dining area has large bay window again providing ample natural light and views of the sea.

Kitchen has standard height work surfaces, dish washer, a low level gas oven/grill with standard height four ring top. Microwave oven at work top height and a fridge freezer. Some wall cupboards above worktop.

Doorway into hall 830 mm wide. One double bedroom with turning space for wheel chair and doorway 890 mm wide. One twin bedded room with turning space for wheel chair and doorway 890 mm wide. Additional twin bedroom with no turning space and doorway 690 mm wide.

Bathroom with w.c. and shower over bath and transfer space. All taps have lever controls. Bath boards provided. Doorway 840 mm wide and height of bath is 520mm.

A separate room with w.c. and wash hand basin – not suitable for wheelchair user. Separate wheel in shower room with transfer space. Doorway 890mm wide.

Apartment 2

Ramp to entrance doorway. Standard internal staircase and domestic stair lift to first floor.

Open plan kitchen/dining area leading to glass double doors to sitting area standard three piece suite. Kitchen has standard height work surfaces, dish washer, a low level gas oven/grill with standard height four ring top. Microwave oven at work top height and a fridge freezer. Some wall cupboards above worktop.

Spacious lounge with ample natural lighting. One double bedroom and two twin bedrooms on the same floor.

Bathroom with standard toilet and hand basin and flexible shower over bath. Separate toilet/shower room with small hand basin and walk in shower with step 115mm high.

Apartment 3

Ramp to entrance with step over the doorway. Internal staircase with banister.

Living area with three piece suite and cane chairs leading to kitchen/dining area through wooden double doors. Kitchen has standard height work surfaces, dish washer, a low level gas oven/grill with standard height four ring top. Microwave oven at work top height and a fridge freezer. Some wall cupboards above worktop.

Double bedroom with en-suite bathroom on same level. En-suite with toilet, wash basin and bath with flexible shower.

Internal wooden staircase to upper floor with banister. Upstairs with double bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom.

External wooden staircase with banister to entrance porch. Front door.
